Overview
Since being founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife Phil and Mel Harrison, Escapism Bars has been on a thrill-filled upward trajectory, providing friendly, fun and fiery spaces to party.
Now with seven unique venues located in Leeds, Liverpool and, more recently, Manchester, Escapism Bars are on a mission to keep expanding, bringing escapism to party people across the north.
Brief
We connected with Escapism Bars through a former client who had recently joined their marketing department.
They had all their brand assets but needed somebody to translate the elements into collateral they could send to print; they had even been forced to use AI to create a few bits for social media but knew these wouldn’t work for larger printed signage such as their bar’s a-boards.
Naturally we revelled in the challenge of recreating the supplied AI JPGs into scalable vector artwork where the quality would be maintained, no matter how large they needed to be.
The outcome
We gathered and combined various stock images that closely matched the AI artwork supplied. Some aspects had to be drawn from scratch but the outcome was the colourful, attention-grabbing Tiki a-boards above.
Impressed with what we had produced, the team were soon in touch again with a view to upgrading and updating their menu artwork, one venue at a time.
With an ongoing creative relationship formed, we are now in talks to take over the design and maintenance of the Escapism websites… watch this space!
